this is vista black its mint if i was you i would get it but... i had a problem downloading my sound drivers and i still havnt got them coz there not supported by the 2009 vista black but apart from that this is a genuine download and had no viruses

well it has alot more to offer but some drivers you cant install because the os is too high for normal drivers you know but... its realy good and iv got it on my computer now its great

IT IS THE SAME WINDOWS VISTA ULTIMATE THAT WE ALL KNOW--- THE ONLY THING THAT HAS CHANGED IS THAT SOME PUNK HAS DECIDED TO MODIFY IT TO DO WHATEVER HE WANTS--- IN THIS CASE, HE WANTS TO BE ABLE TO TAKE CONTROL THE COMPUTER OF WHOMEVER INSTALLS IT. THE FACT THAT IT HAS BEEN MODIFIED MEANS THE PERSON CAN EMBED WHATEVER HE WANTS INTO IT, IN THIS CASE HE HAS EMBEDDED VIRUSES.

I SCANNED IT IMMEDIATELY AFTER INSTALL WITH (CIS)- Comodo Internet Security.
For those of you who don't know what malwares do: They disable your antivirus and security while viruses flood into your PC in seconds hence they enter undetected.

The trojan downloader does exactly what it says-- give free, quick access for thos crazy trojan viruses to flood in your PC and mess it all up....My advice is dont download it but if you wanna then use a very good complete internet security kit, sometimes antivirus is not enough to detect these things....you would need a complete kit.

After the clean sweep of the PC, my firewall was detecting intrution attempts spiking continually as the IP address and port number of the attemptee kept on changing every few second hoping to get lucky. This proves i'm right. The intrution attempts kept coming and never stopped even after each reboot.

Does anyone have Linux dual booting with this Black Edition?

I installed Ubuntu 8.10. It installed fine, but is not booting--there isn't any GRUB menu to select OS from and the PC boots straight into Vista. Also, I got an error at the first run after installing Ubuntu--I don't exactly remember now what it was but it had something to do with the validation period. If I get it again, I'll let you people know.

At present my concern is: Why isn't Ubuntu booting? Anyone can help, please!

does this have an option of choosing which edition of vista 2 install

this has trojan horses and malware. do not seed!!!! I just installed than ran avast boot time scan. and found a bunch of viruses.

scaning with nod32,, and he found alot of pasword files, no unable to read...
i am not sure how good is to install this windows in your PC
