it is a GOOD version, remastered obviously, very good quality etc however after watching it now for about an hour and 12 minutes, I noticed this version is edited for content. It shows all the gross bugs, nasty dinner scene, etc however some of what may be considered more "cruel" scenes have been taken out. 1. When the crazy Indian guy rips out his victims heart during the rituatl, you don't see his hand enter and pull it out, it's just in his hand all of a sudden. 2. When Indy, short round, and Willie get caught, Indy is being tortured and forced to drink the blood that will change him later, short round was supposed to be beat by that other kid, but they took it out and later you just seen short round really worn out for no reason.
That's all I noticed so far, but there were some other scenes I was thinking "huh...there's something missing" and I know it's cause it's been a while since I've seen this flick. I'm going to try and find a more complete version. This might be the rated PG for the younger crowd, although this movie isn't THAT bad when it comes to gore/disgust.
