For people having the elevator bug, heres a little trick that worked for me. Only tested it on the chapter 7 bug though. Right the moment before Alyx is gonna press the button, when she's only a few steps away, quicksave the game. She wont get in at this point, but when you quickload she does!

bloody i can't even extract the archive. what the **** is the matter with it. winrar is latest, even 7zip failed. worst yet is that error reporting is not consistent. i have got the file saved at two different locations and both give 'Files Corrupt' report at different percentages of extraction. any help??? will appreciate. Hey DOPEMAN shed some light, do i download again???

hey satyajitdv, i had the same problem a while ago, you only have to redownload the parts that are broken... hope it helps you out, it helped me

cant even extract, got the latest version of winrar but that dosent help, so the file is damegd, will try to download again but dont think it will work... someone else got the same prob. ?

Yo, my flashlight doesn't work. It makes minimal light and the light is purple/black checkerboardish. Also the game starts to UBER lag in the second chapter This Vortal Coil when the Vortigaunts fix Alyx up and the Gman shows up. Instead of the Gman scene taking like one minute it took like 5 because my fps was like 0.5. :( Does anybody else have these problems???

The game is 6,17 GB when extracted and it comes with: Half-Life 2, Episode one and, of course, Episode Two. The three of them work. You just need to know how to create the shortcuts with he right command lines.

I tested on XP, Vista & Windows 7.
Everything works.
Well as everyone else mention, I also get stuck sometimes due to NPC problem! But, after a lot of time, I m able to continue on. How? It's simple. Just quick save 5-10 sec ahead of that stuck position. And then quick load it. After, a couple or a single effort the game started running again.
In some cases, I also restart the game and load that quick save.
In this way, I play the whole game.
Someone says real "dopeman" is retired. It's someone else appointed by the real one. May be so, cause
the way game stuck!!!
