If you used the Piratebay link there's a guide on how to make the songs iTunes friendly. Please look into something more fully before dismissing it as not working.
For the TL;DR - Songs work. Need to change the format for iTunes to like them.
1.install foolbar20000
2.open the program
3.drag the files that dont work into the big white space area
4.select all and right click on one of them
5.Utilities -> Rebuild MP3 Stream
6.click yes
