some of us play only W3 and not WoW, any ingoing and outgoing transmissions made by a program is traced by a good firewall ( Kaspersky / Norton) u can't use G-Arena / Battle.net / Eurobattle.net without allowing outgoing/ingoing connections from your anti-virus.... kaspersky is extremely irritating on that matter... and the Firewall from both (Norton / kaspersky) will not allow u to join WoW :P unless configured to do so :D

those having trouble with the installation of the game and other storm.dll(ordinal 569) related errors...here is how u get rid of it...

reinstall and follow the steps...

1) Mount with deamon tools.

2) Install both games(Disk1 and disk 2).

3) Copy patch to game folder and run it(Located in disk 3).

3) After patching, copy crack to the game folder(in disk 3).

4) Enjoy the game

NB. Change the above order and you will get errors...

follow the steps as above...but you don't need to try so many times...maybe you miss out a tiny part:

3) After patching, copy crack to the game folder(in disk 3).

p/s: do copy the files inside the crack folder and paste in to the game folder...but not the crack folder itself...or else it'll not work...hope it helps^^

Amount the images with Magic disc or Demon tools use the SNs:

download the latest patch for Warcraft III TFT from here

once you install the patch no need for a crack so go like this

1-Install W3 then W3 TFT then Patch

Download and use patch 1.24d and then run it, i just tried it and it fixed the storm.dll problem, now i can finally dota again

I am copying the way to do it suggested by tanuj482's, but the really important steps are in BOLD

1) Mount with deamon tools/or you can unzip/unrip the file using winrar as well...just extract all the files into a destination folder.

2) Install both games(Disk1 and disk 2) from the destination folder into another folder (the actual game folder)

3) Copy patch to game folder and run it(Located in disk 3). You shud copy the whole patch folder extracted from the disk 3. Then run it in the game folder

3) After patching, copy crack to the game folder(in disk 3). REMEMBER TO COPY ALL THE FILES FROM INSIDE THE CRACK FOLDER (EXTRACTED FROM DISK 3). THEN PASTE ALL THE FILES IN THE GAME FOLDER. THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT STEP.

4) Enjoy the game

NB. Change the above order and you will get errors...

Curious if anyone has put this onto a computer running Vista? As I am having a lot of trouble getting this to work. I've followed the instructions above.

I keep getting messages saying that my Directx is not present or unfound, and then it informs me that I must insert the CD, even though it is 'inserted' by daemon.
