I tried other halo 2 versions from torrentz and only this one works exept to the part where you reach gravemind level and i have the halo 2 crack+mapchanger+xp loader the map changer is supposed to beable to skip gravemind and onto the other level but how do i use it ?

I unrar'ed, placed the mf.dll and MF.dll in "halo 2" and "windows\system32" respectively, and created an xbox live account. But when i try to play, it asks me for a Product Key. Where can i find a valid keygen or standalone product key? Thanks.

umm, i unpacked it, and did all kinds of stuff, but it asks me for some .dll files, or entrys in .dll files he asks for: d3dx9.dll (i guess it has something to do with directX) and with startup.exe it asks for ADVAPI32.dll, am i just being stupid or could anyone give me some advice?

oh yeah veejayq, i checked it ou, it appears you need 512 mb ram, 800 mhz and 128 mb video mem. is being suggested, looks like you CAN play it, but these are minimum requirements and i don't think it runs smoothly on your pc and i suggest you go look for a less demanding game

cant get it to work-unrard everything, installed XLiveRedist but when i try to install vcredist.msi i keep getting an error message saying a file is missing e.g. Rar$DI10.9328\vcredis1.cab, but this seems to change every time i try?? i downloaded the april 07 directx which doesnt seem to help so any ideas? thanks

Okay, well downloaded this, extracted..installed C++ Runtime, and LIVE application. Added the appropriate .dll's in the correct folders, and when I start the batch file loader, I get the Halo 2 logo full screen, the panning of the light across the logo appears, and then halfway across, I get a blank black screen, in which I have to exit out of using Task Manager. Nobody else seems to have this problem, I run a very well build machine, and achieved 5.3 on the Vista Gaming Index ( but I am running it on XP) Any ideas?

if you are missing dlls you can find them at a dll site and to PLAY the beginning of the gravemind level download process moniter ( not from torrents ) and run that program while playing halo it should work

Can someone explain to me wut i need to after i extract the RAR. I installed the Live and credit . Then i looked for an installer but there was none. Seems like the extraction was the installation. You have to mount the H2.7z file using alcohol 120%, after mounting the installation will run automatically, sounds cool, but after installation u will need a no cd-crack(which is not provided) to play the game

After I installed the .rar and then the two .msi files, it gave me an error saying that a particular .dll file wasn't installed. I used kmanworld's .dll links to download that .dll and another .dll file into my c:/windows/system folder and then ran XP PLAY HALO 2.bat again. The game started up, even displaying the Halo 2 logo, but then the screen just went pitch black and nothing happened.

What am I doing wrong?
I have DirectX 9.0c installed. Is that the wrong version or something?

The game works. If you have in your PC "Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable X86", you only have to install XLiveRedist1.0.6027.msi and follow the instruction written in the two Readme files. In you don,t, I suggest you to download Visual C++ from the Microsoft website, install it and proceed as described.

how about smaller packets next time??? im at 30% (770MB) and ive got 136MB of hashfails already. its just wasteful, limit the packets to about 1MB at the max for game files. 4MB is way too much. all this does is decrease the size of the torrent file which is pointless. i think everyone would rather a torrent file which is a few extra KBs than waste hundreds of Meg later on. plus it just slows down the whole swarm.

the game must work though, 350 + seeders. i just hope they left out the crappy levels and not the decent ones. but then again.. i would not be surprised at all..

Ok, i found a way around the Live play thing. Sorry if this dosnt work for you, i was just playing around, but this is what i did. I went to create a new user, then I went to Customize user, then i THINK i exited and then it went to the main screen, asking me if it was alright if I wasn't logged into live, and I clicked ok, and there you have it. again, sorry if i missed a step

i got sum kind of problem..just finished downloadin it..intalled DX9 april..MS vc++ and ms live..and regedit...now it says..intiallising failed..reinstalling may solve the problem..wat do i do..

that happend to me. it means that your computers Video Card is not good enough. I have an Intel GMA 950 as well on my desktop. but luckily i got a laptop with an ATI Radeon 9700 :] i suggest upgrading your video card, or go buy a computer with Windows Vista(as much as I hate Microsoft that is your best solution)

the last time i installed this modified version of halo2 the only trouble i had was the mission where i had to find a way down to the inside of the rogue covenant structure it seems when i am even in that mission the first one for say longer then 3 or more minutes it freezes up and resets my pc. however i did get passed that mission after having to miss most of the traitorous covenant forces and literally running through it and after that everything else ran great.

I have the same problem as 'Udayarc' describes above. In Halo 2 there's a problem when it loads 'the arbiter' level, my screen turns black and I need to start the pc up manually.

Hej everybody ;) You don't even have to install the game to play, extract the .7z you have into a new folder on your desktop example.. then open that you find a file (XP PLAY HALO 2.bat)run that file an the game is on! Just that simple and no hard talk at all ;)!

my laptop config is 4gb ram,intel dual core ,gforce g105 m cuda 512 graphic card ,vista os now the problem is when i click halo2 exe it says "the ordinal 100 could not be located in dynamic link library dwmapi.dll" .plz tell what .... it is.can any body tell how to fix this .

I've downloaded this torrent (and am running on windows XP :() but every time I try to launch setup, I get some BS popup message "Startup.exe Entry Point Not Found "The Procedure entry point CreateProcessWithTokenW could not be located in the dynamic link library ADVAPI32.dll.

Someone care to give me a translation on this, maybe a solution for it? Do I need the XP patch to INSTALL this game as well as to run it?

lijothomas- i had that same problem with oridnal 100. Go to, http://www.dll-files.com/ and type in what file you are missing and you will be able to dl that file for free :)

i have windows vista. I unziped the game to my desktop and downloaded what was necessary what do i press to exec/run the game. When i pressed the halo2 icon it started to load but then immediately crashed
