It's Real. It's really easy to install. just execute "SonyVegasPro80a-ce_enu.exe" and click next everytime. when it asks to 'register online' or 'from another computer', just click 'register online'. Input any info u want and click OK. and there u go the program says thank you and your ready to use sony vegas.

you have to 'register online' and put in any information (but i suggest you rather use fake info ;> ).

i'm being asked for a serial....plz help me guys

Not working for me. Don't say i'm an idiot, because I read the comments stated above. It asks for a serial number. People downloading this obviously don't have one. I'd say don't waste your time. I tried to register, not only did it not work, but now I can't even run Vegas.

Just sharing my experience. After the successful installation it asked for registration. In this first try it thrown error about unable to complete the registration. It offered alternative registration, which I suspect many here thinks it asked for serial/authentication key.
So, I closed the application, then re-opened. The registration screen came up again, and this time it successfully register online.
My thoughts:
1. The unsuccessful online registration may due to busy registration server or connection problem.
2. In case #1, the alternative registration screen ask for serial key which confused guy like rau1 there :)
3. Bottom line, just keep trying the online registration, it will work.

ok, install it, it will ask you for registration, put any info, after that it will try to connect to the server, if it gives out an ERROR keep trying to connect till it connects and done! you can use sony vegas as much you want!

Is this the actual full version or after like 30 days will I need a key. I installed it and it works fine but I don;t want it failing on me after the trial period is over (if this is a trial version). Thanks.

For all those who are confused, here is how to install.
First off, this torrent works, perfectly. No Keygen is necessary, no password, nothing.

1. Download the Torrent.
2. Open the SonyVegasPro80a-ce_enu.exe file.
3. Install.
4. When the "register online" or "register from another computer" screen pops up, select Register Online.
5. Press next; a small screen will pop up saying it is validating your request.
6. It should say "Thank you".
7. Use Sony Vegas.

If you can't do this, you shouldn't be using the program.

I followed the directions as you said and a message popped up saying:

An error occurred during Registration of Sony Vegas Pro 8.0
The server was unable to complete the registration as requested[Error:-40]

Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions?

So, let me start off by saying that I'm really glad someone came up with this. I purchased two programs directly from Sony (up to $800) worth and they gave me the run around about everything. They accused me of sharing serial numbers and told me it was illegal and all this other mess (So, I ended up spending $$$$$ on being accused and didn't even get my programs out of it). This download worked perfectly and it has come to my conclusion that if Sony would stop putting unaffordable prices on products they jerk you around on - there wouldn't be posts like this.

If you can't get the online registration to work:

1. choose the 'register from another computer' option
2. save the .html file somewhere on your HD
3. open the html file in a browser. It should forward you to a registration page.
4. open a free email account somewhere or use your own (not recommended) and use it to get your activation code.
5. copy and paste activation code into the text box.

This should work for this torrent.

Also, I think the failed online registrations may have something to do with .NET Framework version. Haven't researched this fully, though.

Works perfectly - installed on Vista.

After you have completed the installation of "SonyVegasPro80a-ce_enu.exe file":
1. open the folder called "sony products"
2. locate "keygen.exe"
3. copy and paste the keygen file in the folder where you installed Sony Vegas, probably
(c:programfilessonyvegas8.0)
4. right-click on the keygen.exe and select "properties" and check the "Run as administrator"
5. when keygen opens, click "sony pro 8.0a" from drop down menu under product
6. click "generate" for a authentication code and serial number
7. LEAVE KEYGEN OPEN UNTIL END OF INSTRUCTIONS!!
8. click "patch"
9. when window comes up find your way to c:programfilessonyvegas8.0
10. just click on that and hit "ok"
11. when done patching, THEN you can open sony vegas 8.0
12. put in serial number and hit register online
13. put in fake info and hit next
14. put in authentication code (if it doesn't take you there and says cannot be completed at this time, just hit cancel and it will still take you there)
15. keygen can now be closed

You need DOT.NetFX 3.0 to make it work
