Thanks! It works fine. Advice: Don't go click on the Nero Home shorcut. You'll get a message from Nero where it says that they know you have a pirate copy. Que mieeeedo! Well, it won't affect the program, just don't try to download any other updates from Nero Home.

how do I use this? do I have to get a dvdr to burn the image onto a disc because it's too large a file for regular cd-r's

Andrack: Download WINRAR. & install
open the image file with the program you just installed.
Now click on the folder that says installation. Now Click On setupX.exe .
WinRaR will now do it's thing
Now your there Nero should now be installing on you computer When ASK for a Serial # simply enter one from a list from up above and the other info Just Enter your name and company or some kind of bs

This should Be Some Help if not you need to read some other comments for help before downloading anything else

after i download and run nero vision there is a pop up comming and saying

i have extracted the files and when i click on setup.exe or setupx.exe to install. then the agreement box comes up and after agreeing to to that when i click on next a message shows up that i have to reboot my computer which i cant do later. I rebooted my computer several times but after that also, either that reboot message again comes up after restarting or it doesnt and when i try to install it again, that reboot message shows up again!!

Serial is included, PlanetMaster.nfo just has to be changed into a .txt file and the serial will be in the txt file.

1.Install setupx using one of the above keys (1K22-2867-0K95-61K4-5000-CKAC-AA8X worked for me)
2.Delete the NOSProductActivation.dll at Program Files->Nero->Nero8->OnlineServices
3.Open control center at Start->All Programs->Nero 8->Nero Toolkit->Nero ControlCenter
4.Click NO for the dialog box appears asking for product updates
5.Under Update you'll see a Checkbox (Check for updates every ## days)
6.Uncheck it

This is great...! After trying nero 9(strict security)(no cheating), people are turning back to older versions. unfortunately old version (Nero 7-free version) does'nt work on Vista and 7.So directed to nero 8. :)

Just thought I'd show scan results. Also, I can't install because it says 'A system reboot was requested by a previous software installation (e.g. a Windows update). Please reboot your computer to resume the installation of Nero 8." I click ok and it automatically reboots, and if I run setup again I get the same message. So this torrent is a bust.

donkosala's directions worked for me. i also used firewall to block nero just in case. nero 7 does not work with windows 7, but nero 8 does. just for the beginners out there, you need to create a virtual drive using a program such as daemon tools lite, OR if you have another computer, burn the image file with nero burning rom. (NOT as a data disk) i also used skyroket's keys for plug in's. everything seems to work.
