It's a new game like Half-Life ep. 1. First came Half-Life then HL2, then HL2ep1 and now ep2. Each version can be pla **** as stand-alone. Hope that helped ;).

Yhan, let me try explain.
First creat a shortcut of the HL2.exe file in the HL2 episode two folder (place it wherever u want).
Click the rigth mouse on the shortcut and press faind target. Then faind the HL2.exe file you take the shortcut of.
In my target it's: Target: ''C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\My user\half-life 2 episode two''
Now you have to add -steam -game ep2 in target....
Like this: ''C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\My user\half-life 2 episode two'' -steam -game ep2
Try to play the shortcut now.

This runs perfectly on a relatively old computer with a DX8.1 video card. On ocassion there are purple checkered textures and I only saw the outstretched arms on human models once (so far...).

how to get it work.....
1st get the torrent and download
2. open up the folder
2.5 get quicksfv if you want once installed double click on the sfv that comes with the folder and this will check if .rar is corrupted or not
3. get winrar
4. double click on any of the .rar look like a stack of books purple and green
5. on the upper left hand corner there should be an arrow pointing up to instead of showing the one .rar you opened it will should show all of the .rar in the folder.
6. look thru the list and find the one says blah.rar not the ones with blah.rar.r00 or w/e. double click it
7. then highlight everything in the .rar and click hold and drag into another folder or use extract function.
8. open the folder and find hl2 (icon of half life 2)
9. right click and go to "create shortcut"
10. right click on the newly maded shourtcut and go to properties.
11. open readme file in the folder and highlight -steam -game ep2 and paste in target of the shortcut properties.
12. mine looks like this
"C:\Do **** ents and Settings\david\My Do **** ents\Downloads\Half.Life.2.Episode.Two-Unleashed\half-life 2 episode two\hl2.exe" -steam -game ep2
13. then apply and then ok
14. then move the new shortcut and drag the shortcut to your desktop and then double click it to play! *note: it may take time to lauch the game so wait!*

*note if you have an error mountapp blah blah it means didnt follow step 6.

About the NLShare files,
It works, I'm playing it now... but there is some texture missing on some parts, maybe HL2EP2 problem or maybe unleashed didnt make the files perfect, only some like the granade from sub-machine gun.
BTW, The Link that I post is exactly the same files as this torrent.


I'm using X1950pro P4 2GB, Detail max and filter max in 1280x1024 without a problem (>40fps). I think this game should be able to run on 7300GS or X300 without a problem. After all, the 3D is about the same as Episode 1

After playing for 1 hour, I will need to go for some fresh air because it make me so dizzy that i want to throw out...

only noticeable is that the grenades from the sub machine gun are pink with blak squares on them nd so is the pick axe. nd ive so far seen 2 NPc's just standing still with their arms out to the side wired.:P lol but other than that perfect game.

Are u crazy?? you can download by selecting specific files to download, this torrent contain multiple files, when you start a download, it will show a list of files you are about to download.

Yes, some textures have small problems...and I have problems with the sound too(when the G-man talk with you, and in the final part of the game). There, the sound dissapear and no come back until restart all the game :S

I would really apreciate someone can upload fixed textures and animations for missing objects... Ive stand alone HL2 and EPISODE ONE, work fine... playing this game, the missing mesh and textures really degrades my whole enthusiasm of this game :( But thanx for release ... looking forward Unleashed tex-fix :P

Hey Bloody Beast i have an E6320, 8800GTS 320mb, 2GB G.Skill 800mhz, with a 22" LCD and im runnign it with 16xQSAA or what ever its called and 16xAF with absolutely no lag at all. lol

but yes some textures are missing like the pick axe and grenades from the sub machin egun.

Works fine. I never had any problems with textures in Episode 1 from Unleashed.

However, in this one, there was 3 missing textures, which appear as purple and black stripes. Its slightly distracting when I saw it, but it does not spoil the game or anything like that.

For the people who can not play the game. Why you can not play the game is just the system you have on your PC'. I have two PCs, the desktop system says the game requirements match with yours but it doesnt. The other pc, laptop, has i7 board and 3 gb graphics and i can play with the laptop well.
